Dec. 7

9:15 pm: Vehicle vandalism, 300 Park St.

Dec. 8

8:18 am: Traffic stop, improper lane, 700 block S. Defi- ance St., sleepy driver, advised subject.

8:28 am: Disabled vehicle, S. Defiance St. at Lafayette St., pushed vehicle off roadway.

9:10 am: Truck, driven by Johnnie K. Streeval, 43, Edinburgh, Ind., with passenger Brian Streeval, 37, Taylorsville, Ind., traveling south on S. Defiance St., left front wheel fell off the truck, 29 feet south of the Stryker St. intersection.

12:45 pm: 911 hang-up, Fairlawn Apartments, unfounded.

2:55 pm: Sport-utility vehicle, driven by Shelia R. Hicks, 62, Montpelier, was traveling south on S. Defiance St., moving slowly in traffic. A pickup truck, driven by Michael E. Leahy, 31, Archbold, was traveling south behind the sportutility. The two vehicles collided. Leahy was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead. The crash occurred 68 feet south of Wilson St.

3:26 pm: Semi truck, driven by Gary D. Hall, 63, Toledo, owned by Swift Transportation, Oklahoma City, Okla., traveling south on S. Defiance St., attempted a right turn onto Stryker St. The vehicle became trapped on the bollard. As Hall attempted to back the truck off the bollard, his trailer struck the side of a second southbound semi, driven by David B. Wilhelm, 49, rural Napoleon, owned by Tom Keller Leasing Company, Defiance. Hall was cited for improper starting and backing of vehicle.

4:56 pm: Semi truck, driven by Scott D. Shade, 38, rural Stryker, owned by Three D Transport, rural West Unity, was traveling west on E. Mechanic St., and was stopped at the N. Defiance. St. intersection. Stopped behind the semi was a car, driven by Matthew J. Rivello, 21, Archbold. The semi began backing, and collided with the Rivello auto.

6:12 pm: 911 hang-up, Fypon, no emergency.

11:08 pm: 911 hang-up, Fypon, false alarm.

Dec. 12

8 pm: Car, driven by Nancy F. Fluckinger, 74, Archbold, was backing from a Fairlawn Haven parking lot, and collided with an unknown pickup truck.

11:10 am: Theft report, Friendship Food Mart.

Dec. 13

9:31 am: Dog at large, 200 block LaChoy Dr., captured, taken to kennel, notified dog warden.

9:03 pm: Theft, 400 block W. Barre Rd.

Note: During the preceding week, Archbold police officers issued verbal warnings for stop bar, no stopping or parking on roadway, no through trucks, speeding, and driving with an unsecured load.
