Dec. 1

2:30 pm: Identity theft, 513 Quail Run.

6:25 pm: Theft, 705 N. Defi- ance St.

Dec. 2

10:09 am: A semi truck driven by Manuel Castillo Escudero, 48, Ft. Wayne, Ind., owned by Triple Crown Services Company, Ft. Wayne, was backing in a parking lot at the Sauder Woodworking Erie Distribution Center. The semi backed into the building, damaging the structure.

Dec. 3

5:52 am: Citation to Charles B. Cash, 21, rural Holgate, improper lane use, 700 block N. Defiance St.

2:49 pm: Rick Schantz, superintendent of the Archbold Water Treatment Plant, reported sometime between Friday, Nov. 28, and this date, an unknown vehicle struck a metal building at the plant. Damage estimate: $1,000.

2:58 pm: Minivan, driven by Alicia D. Tijerina, 37, rural Archbold, with passenger Kathy L. Ehrman-Clair, 35, Archbold, was traveling south on N. Defiance St., and was stopped in traffic about 57 feet north of Depot. St. A car, driven by Melissa E. Valentine, 28, rural Archbold, stopped in traffic behind the minivan. The car began moving and the two collided. Valentine was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.

9:08 pm: Theft report, 300 West St.

Dec. 4

6:30 am: Caught stray dog, took to kennel, advised dog warden; dog warden advised dog belongs to resident in the 200 block of E. Mechanic St.

8:43 am: A blue vehicle driven by an unknown driver was traveling north on South Defi- ance Street, went off the road and struck a utility pole about 224 feet south of Monumental St. Driver left the scene. Unknown when the crash occurred.

3:46 pm: Disabled vehicle, 700 block N. Defiance St., help on the way.

Dec. 5

8:14 am: Traffic stop, driver’s view obstructed by frosted windows, 700 block S. Pleasant St.

8:19 am: Traffic stop, driver’s view obstructed by frosted windows, 300 block Park St.

9:08 am: Car, driven by Anthony D. Molina, 27, Wauseon, with passenger Carrie L. Figgy, 22, rural Archbold, traveling north on S. Defiance Street, stopped for the traffic signal at the Lugbill Rd. intersection. Second car, driven by Sara Nafziger, 61, Archbold, was traveling north behind the Molina auto. The two collided. Nafziger was cited for failure to maintain as assured clear distance ahead.

1:45 pm: Vandalism, 108 Ditto St.

3:23 pm: Citation to Andrea K. Gurwell, 19, Defiance, expired registration, E. Lutz Rd. at Vine St.

Dec. 6

5:46 pm: Pickup truck driven by Richard C. Engler, 39, Archbold, was traveling east on Murbach St. and attempted to make a right turn to go south on Farmington Rd. The vehicle went out of control on the snow-covered road, drove off the southeast corner of the intersection, and struck a street sign. Engler was cited for failure to maintain reasonable control.

Note: During the preceding week, Archbold police offi cers gave verbal warnings for no registration, taillights, wrong way, speeding, stop sign, marked lanes.
