Nov. 3

8:50 am: Vandalism, Farmers & Merchants State Bank.

3:40 pm: School bag and contents found, 200 block Lafayette Street, placed in lost and found, claimed by owner.

Nov. 4

7:17 am: Citation to David P. Mann, 39, rural Delta, failure to stop at a sidewalk area, 900 block Stryker St.

11:56 am: A semi truck, driven by Robert W. Trenton, Sarnia, Ont., owned by Werner Enterprises, Omaha Neb., was traveling south on N. Defiance St., and attempted to turn right to go west on Stryker St. Trenton cut the corner too short, and the trailer wheels ran over the bell bollard. The truck became lodged on the bollard.

2:30 pm: Bicycle left at Archbold Community Library; bike placed in storage building.

8:19 pm: Citation to Tina Skiver, 29, Archbold, expired license plates, 300 block N. Defi ance St.

5:18 pm: Vandalism, 503 West St.

Nov. 6

4:20 pm: Juveniles running into street without looking for traffic, 400 block Ditto St., advised youngster to watch for cars.

Nov. 7

12:19 am: Citation to James J. Thomas, 47, Columbus, DUI and operation of a commercial vehicle under the influence, 800 block West Barre Rd.

7:08 am: Citation issued to Carli S. Boddiger, 34, rural Fayette, for improper lane use, 100 block S. Clyde’s Way.

1 pm: Report of scam letter, 213 Rosewood Ct.

Nov. 8

2:53 am: Citation issued to 16-year-old Liberty Center boy, after curfew, 100 block E. Beech St.

10:30 am: A car, driven by Ethel R. Shipe, 84, Archbold, was traveling west in the Pamida parking lot, and was stopped to allow a pedestrian to cross in front of her. A sport-utility vehicle, driven by Deborah A. Lauber, 57, Archbold, with passenger Elizabeth Lauber, 3, same address, was backing out of parking place and collided with the Shipe vehicle.

10:35 am: A car driven by Eliese J. Moore, 64, Waldron, Mich., with passenger Sue Gruber, 54, rural Pioneer, was traveling south on North Defi- ance Street, and was stopped in traffic about 147 feet north of the Norfolk Southern railroad crossing. Following the Moore auto was a car driven by Mary C. Classen, 73, Archbold. The two vehicles collided. Classen cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead.

2 pm: Dog at large, 100 block Flory Lane, captured dog, returned to owner.

6:33 pm: Report of suspicious activity, Rite Aid.

Nov. 9

12:18 pm: A car, driven by Erica L. Boulton, 22, Archbold, was stopped in traffic in the northbound land of S. Defiance St., about 86 feet south of West Barre Rd. A pickup truck, driven by Michael J. Vanderveer, 34, West Unity, with passenger Bob McClellan, 51, rural Stryker, was following the Boulton car. The two vehicles collided. Vanderveer was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead.

Note: During the preceding week, Archbold police officers gave verbal warnings for no trucks, stop bar, and drive in marked lanes.
