July 27

3:37 pm: Burglary, Holland Court apartments.

6:58 pm: Dispute, 800 block West St.

July 28

2:50 pm: Assault, East Gardens.

5:33 pm: Dog without food or water, 400 block West St., spoke to dog owner; dog owner said dog keeps knocking water over; advised owner dog must have water.

July 30

9:50 am: Pickup truck, driven by Robert J. Geer, 85, Swanton, with passenger Edward G. Krauss, 85, rural Swanton, traveling east on East Lutz Road, turned into a private drive at the rear of 509 Vine St., the Rupp residence. The pickup struck a garage door of an unattached garage, damaging the door.

11:50 am: Civil matter involving missing digital audio player, item returned.

2:40 pm: Gwen Maley, Archbold, reported her daughter had ridden her bicycle to the Archbold Swimming Pool, at about 1:15 pm. When she returned at 2:30 pm, the bicycle, a 24-inch blue mountain bike, was missing. The bicycle was valued at $75.

2:58 pm: Animal call, Sauder Village, dog locked in car, owner advised the dog must have water.

July 31

6:40 am: Phillip J. Cote, Bryan, reported pickup truck damaged between 6:15 am the previous morning and 6:15 this morning. The only places the truck has been parked are at his residence and his place of employment in Archbold.

8:15 am: Found two bicycles at Archbold Swimming Pool, one bicycle claimed by owner.

10:35 am: Worker hanging out back of truck, Franklin St. at Park St, advised subject against practice.

3:24 pm: Citation to Terry L. Miller, 39, rural Archbold, speeding, 300 block Miller Ave.

3:48 pm: Representative of Bil-Jax reported a license plate missing from a company truck. It is not known if the plate was stolen, or fell off the vehicle.

3:50 pm: A semi tractor pulling two trailers, driven by Jeffrey Austin Dunn, Olivet, Mich., owned by Fountain City Leasing, Defiance, was traveling north and turning east from a private parking lot onto E. Lugbill Road, when the rear trailer unhitched. Front of the trailer made contact with the road surface, damaging the trailer and road.

7:42 pm: Citation to Genie Lane, 44, Archbold, failed to stop for railroad crossing gates, Defiance St. at Norfolk Southern railroad crossing.

Aug. 1

2:39 pm: Citation to Derek L. Turner, Jr., Dolton, Ill., no through trucks sign, 400 block E. Lutz Rd.

Aug. 2

8:55 pm: Domestic violence, 407 Brussel St.

2:34 pm: Skateboarders, 300 block Park St., advised to leave.

3:12 pm: Complaint of woodchuck at back door, 200 block Christine Dr., animal gone on officer’s arrival.

5:13 pm: Disorderly conduct, 1000 block Stryker St.

11:43 pm: Domestic dispute, East Gardens.

Note: During the preceding week, Archbold Police officers issued verbal warnings for stop bar, speeding, left of center, stop sign, and failure to drive in marked lanes.
