Aug. 27

1:55 pm: Disabled semi, 100 block St. Anne St., caller advised semi moved.

3:45 pm: Suspicious vehicle, 300 block S. Lincoln St., car parked on street for some time, checked license plate number, all okay.

5:33 pm: 911 hang-up, Filling Home Sylvanus St. supported living facility, subject reported staff was “being mean.” Unfounded.

7:50 pm: Suspicious person, salesman, Hawthorn Dr., unable to locate.

Aug. 28

3:32 pm: Telephone complaints, Colony Meadows. 5:17 pm: Larceny, Archbold McDonald’s. 8:48 pm: Assist fire-rescue.

Aug. 29

Midnight: Defiance Street Norfolk Southern crossing blocked by train.

10:20 am: Burglary, 400 block Park St.

8:48 pm: Assisted fire-rescue, 800 block West St.

10:03 pm: Drunk subject yelling at children, Fox Chase, advised subject.

10:36 pm: Suspicious persons walking in the road, 22000 block St. Rt. 2, unable to locate.

Aug. 30

2:46 pm: Assist fire-rescue, 200 block Church St.

3:05 pm: Barking dog complaint, 300 block DeGroff St.

6:29 pm: An SUV driven by Terry Scalf, 55, Bryan, with passenger Dawn Scalf, same address, was stopped in traffic facing north on S. Defiance St., about 20 feet south of West Barre Rd. A car, driven by Ashley Dawn Devault, 23, rural Defiance, was traveling north behind Scalf. They collided. Devault was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead.

6:30 pm: Drunk subject, 300 block Buckeye St.

9:30 pm: Civil problem, East Gardens, girlfriend moving her property out.

Aug. 31

12:10 pm: Defiance St. Norfolk Southern railroad crossing blocked by train.

2:20 pm: Defiance St. and Franklin St. railroad crossings blocked by train.

2:52 pm: Accident, N. Defiance St. at E. Holland St.

9:23 pm: Assist fire-rescue, 700 block N. Defiance St.

Sept. 1

1:57 pm: Assist fire-rescue, Colony Meadows.

2:43 pm: A pickup, driven by Walter Smallman, rural Wauseon, was traveling north in the Sauder Manufacturing parking lot, and was stopped, waiting to make a right turn onto West Barre Rd. An SUV, driven by Don Hasselwerth, 28, Defiance, was traveling north behind Smallman. They collided.

3:38 pm: A bus, owned by the Fulton County commissioners, driven by Michelle Theis, 52, Fayette, carrying six passengers, was traveling north on N. Defiance St., and was slowing for the traffic signal at Lutz Rd. An SUV, driven by Kaitlyn Couts, 16, Wauseon, with passengers Quincy Rohda, 16, and Chaise Reel, 17, Wauseon, was traveling north behind the bus. They collided. Couts was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead. No injuries.

Sept. 2

8:34 am: Issued bicycle safety award, 300 block Primrose Lane.

9:22 am: Traffic detail, vehicles needed to be moved for construction, N. Defiance St. at Stryker St.

6:26 pm: Dogs left in vehicle, Barn Restaurant, advised subject not to leave dogs in vehicle.

9:54 pm: Telephone complaints, Archbold Villas.

Sept. 3

9:30 am: Assist fire-rescue, Fairlawn Haven.

1:25 pm: Theft, filed on station.

3:01 pm: Reckless operation, N. Defiance St. at Stryker St., located suspected vehicle but observed no violations.
