May 4

May 5

2:19 pm: A semi, driven by Elmi A. Obsieyeh, Columbus, owned by Select Carrier Group, Groveport, traveling east on Stryker St., attempted to turn south onto N. Defiance St. The truck struck a lighted bollard, then ran over the bell bollards, which caught on the undercarriage. Obsieyeh continued and pulled the bell bollard from the ground, dragging it onto N. Defiance St. The truck then struck a traffic signal pole. The semi stopped briefly on N. Defiance St., then left the scene, heading south. Obsieyeh was cited for improper right turn, leaving the scene of an accident, and operating a vehicle more than 65 feet long.

4:40 pm: Loud music complaint, Colony Meadows, all quiet when officer arrived.

May 6

7:05 am: Drive-off, Friendship Food Mart, contacted subject who returned and paid for fuel.

8:01 am: Report of pit bull at large, 200 block Bankey Ave., unable to catch, owner cited for dog running at large.

4:56 pm: Unwanted subject, ConAgra, advised subject to leave.

May 7

10:50 pm: Burglary, East Gardens.

May 8

7:20 am: A semi, driven by Jesse B Bowman, Jr., Terre Haute, Ind., owned by Werner Enterprises, Inc., Omaha, Neb., with passenger Michael Switzer, 22, Danville, Ind., traveling south on N. Defiance St., attempted to turn west on Stryker St. The truck struck the bell bollard, damaging the wheel. Bowman was cited for making an improper turn.

3:14 pm: A car, driven by Ricky L. Hussey, 50, Archbold, with passenger Olivia Hussey, 15, same address, traveling north on S. Defiance St., stopped in traffic. A second car, driven by Brandon M. Wagner, 17, Archbold, was behind the Hussey vehicle, stopped in traffic. A sport-utility vehicle, Abigail J. Huerta, 17, Archbold, was traveling north behind the Wagner auto. The Huerta and Wagner vehicles collided, and the collision pushed Wagner in to the Hussey car. The crash occurred about 45 feet north of Oak St. Huerta was cited for clear distance ahead.

8:17 pm: Citation to Bryce J. Rufenacht, 17, rural Wauseon, stop sign, Ditto St. at W. Holland St.

May 9

7:26 am: Representatives of Archbold Main Stop reported two male subjects in a maroon, midsize older car with yellow plates pumped $6.12 worth of gas into the vehicle. They made other purchases and left without paying for fuel.

12:05 pm: A representative of Office Partners, LLC, Bryan, reported that while the company van was parked on the east side of N. Defiance St., in the first parking space south of E. Holland St., a passing vehicle knocked the driver side mirror off the van.

2:48 pm: Drive-off, Friendship Food Mart, contacted subject, who paid for fuel.

May 10

12:05 am: Citation to Daniel Beck, 18, rural Archbold, reckless operation on private property, 1100 block S. Defiance St.

1:09 am: Lost wallet, 600 block S. Defiance St., wallet found at home.

Note: During the preceding week, Archbold Police officers issued verbal warnings for a stop bar, speeding, no trucks, brake lights, expired plates, and failure to drive in marked lanes.
