11:43 am: Assist fire-rescue, 1200 block S. Defiance St.

4:43 pm: Citation to Thomas Skiver, 23, Archbold, for no registration, 500 block Vine St.

Dec. 21

5:05 am: Report of prowlers, East Gardens, wind blowing broken door.

12:55 pm: Disabled vehicle, S. Defiance St. at West Barre Rd., moved.

2:13 pm: Theft of plates, Sauder Heritage Inn.

4:51 pm: Traffic stop, verbal warning for traffic signal violation, citation to Kevin Beck, 56, Archbold, seatbelt violation.

8:43 pm: Juvenile complaint, 300 block West St., unfounded.

Dec. 22

6:28 pm: Monica L. Valadez, 40, 345 Sawmill Ct., reported harassing calls; spoke to subject who was advised if calls continue, charges will be filed.

6:10 pm: Traffic stop, verbal warning for no headlights, citation to Frank Covarrubias, 34, Archbold, for driving while license suspended.

8:12 pm: Car hit dog, W. Lutz Rd. at Ditto St., dog and owner transported to veterinarian.

10:30 pm: Possible open container of alcohol in vehicle, Circle K, gone when offi cer arrived.

Dec. 23

9:31 am: Wallet found, 300 block Quail Run, returned to owner.

7:34 pm: Traffic stop, verbal warning for headlight out, citation to Shanta Moses, 22, Archbold, 1700 block S. Defiance St., driving under suspension.

Dec. 24

9:31 am: Peace keep, 200 block S. Defiance St.

12 pm: Larceny, occurred in county, turned over to sheriff department.

3:05 pm: Unwanted person, 500 block South St.

7:40 pm: 911 hang-up, 200 block Douglas Dr.

Dec. 25

2:52 am: Assist police unit (incident occurred outside Archbold police jurisdiction).

4:10 pm: Domestic trouble, 400 block South St.

5:49 pm: Lana Showman, 60, Archbold Villas, reported unrelenting phone calls; spoke to subject, who was advised not to call Showman; if they do, charges will be filed.

7:19 pm: Child custody problem, 200 block La Choy Dr.

Dec. 26

9:14 am: Trash blowing into neighbor’s yard, 200 block S. Lincoln St., advised subject.

11:45 pm: Disabled vehicle, S. Defiance St. at Miller Ave., vehicle left roadway under its own power.

Dec. 27

7:04 am: Streetlight out, DeGroff Ave. at Stryker St.

9:59 am: 911 hang-up, Westfield Medical Center, unable to locate.

10:02 am: Theft from vehicles, 407 Brussel St.

11:50 am: 911 hang-up, ConAgra north-side receiving door, all okay.

8:02 pm: Arrested Mikeal Leveck, 25, Wauseon, on misdemeanor warrant, 1800 block S. Defiance St.

Dec. 28

5:55 pm: Drive-off, Circle K, subject pumped $10 of gas and drove off without paying.

6:26 pm: Traffic stop, verbal warning for failure to use turn signal, citations to Curtis Nofziger, 57, rural Archbold, expired registration and no seatbelt.

7:02 pm: Child custody problem, Fox Chase.

1:22 am: Suspicious vehicle, two persons parked in vehicle at rear of Woodland Park, advised the park is closed.

Dec. 29

2:57 am: A car, driven by Collin D. Penrod, 19, rural Archbold, was traveling south on South Defiance St., when, about a half-mile south of Nolan Parkway, he went out of control and slid off the roadway, struck a sign, and overturned. Archbold Rescue transported Penrod to the Fulton County Health Center, where he was treated and released. Police cited Penrod for failure to maintain reasonable control.

9:25 am: Person blowing snow onto roadway, 1700 block S. Defiance St., advised to stop.

10:43 am: A minivan, driven by Michael J. Burrill, 48, McPherson, Kan., with passenger John Burrill, 7, same address, was traveling south in a driveway at the Sauder Heritage Inn. A car, driven by Kenneth L. Jones, 65, Wauseon, was traveling west in one of the driveways. They collided.

12:15 pm: Cell phone found, 100 block W. Holland St., returned to owner.

2:57 pm: Identity theft, East Gardens.

6:45 pm: A minivan, driven by Larry J. Steiner, 69, rural Pandora, with passenger Sharon M. Steiner, 66, same address, was traveling south on S. Defiance St., and was stopped at the traffic signal at Short-Buehrer Rd. Another minivan, driven by Clara Marie Burris, 17, Archbold, was traveling south behind the Steiner vehicle. They collided. Burris was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.

Dec. 30

5:24 pm: Domestic problem, Sauder Heritage Inn, gone before officer arrived.

11:50 pm: Loud music, East Gardens, advised to turn it down.

Dec. 31

12:47 am: Welfare check, lost connection while person was on phone with sheriff department.

10:53 am: Disabled vehicle, 100 block W. Holland St., tow truck moved vehicle.

1:49 pm: Assisted Montpelier police in delivering a message.

6:14 pm: Vehicle crash, 100 block Willow Way.

Jan. 1

8:31 am: Truck parked at McDonald’s, managers wanted vehicle checked.

5:45 pm; Found dog, Archbold SuperValu, returned to owner.

7:22 pm: Picked up garbage in roadway, 200 block S. Defiance St.

Jan. 2

8:26 am: Co. Rd. C, injured deer, deer dead when officer arrived.

3:37 pm: Unlock vehicle, 100 block West Barre Rd., handicapped individual inside.

5:27 pm: Possible identity theft, East Gardens.

Jan. 3

2:35 pm: Animal call, 400 block S. Lincoln St., picked up black and tan shepherd-lab, turned over to dog warden.

2:35 pm: Civil problem, 100 block Blue Streak Dr., advised to contact attorney.

Note: During the preceding weeks, Archbold police officers gave verbal warnings for driving with one headlight out, driving with no headlights, disobeying a traffic signal, not using turn signals, no license plate light, a traffic offense, expired plates, and failure to drive in marked lanes.
