4:43 pm: Main Stop, driveoff.

July 28

12:05 pm: A minivan, driven by Ellen E. Wells, 44, Wauseon, was traveling north on N. Defiance St., when a car, driven by Valentine U. Iroha, 42, 613 N. Defi ance St., was backing from a driveway. Iroha stopped in the center left-turn lane, then continued into the northbound lane. They collided. Iroha was cited for improper starting and backing and no operator license.

3:04 pm: Child custody issue, East Gardens.

3:44 pm: 911 hang-up, accidental dial.

7:10 pm: Raccoon trapped in trash can, Memorial Park, creature liberated.

7:40 pm: Suspicious person, 100 block N. Defiance St., transient, no wants or warrants.

10:37 pm: A car, owned by Eileen K. Waidelich, rural Archbold, was parked at Circle K. A minivan, driven by Ashley A. Ryan, 24, Archbold, was backing, and collided with the parked auto.

July 29

9:50 am: Juvenile complaint, Fairlawn Apartments, spoke to juvenile and grandfather.

12:30 pm: Assisted firerescue, East Gardens.

7 pm: Report of shooting heard by neighbors, Fox Chase, unable to locate.

9:27 pm: Lost dog reported, 400 block Vine Street, dog returned home.

July 30

10:11 am: A car, driven by Erika L. Bennett, 19, Archbold, was traveling east in the parking lot at the Archbold United Methodist Church. A car, driven by Hannah E. Short, 20, Archbold, was backing from a parking space. They collided.

5:27 pm: Child custody issue, 200 block Park St.

5:49 pm: Civil problem, 400 block S. Pleasant St., stood by while male subject moved out.

9:18 pm: Unwanted person, 400 block Pleasant St., unfounded. Subject went to friend’s place.

9:39 pm: Suspicious vehicle, 200 block Park St.

July 31

5:05 am: Noise complaint, 200 block E. Mechanic St., all okay.

9 am: Suspicious person, subject at police station.

12:55 pm: Animal complaint, Union St. at West St., advised subject.

1:25 pm: Located black Labrador, collar without tags, took to pen, contacted dog warden.

5 pm: 911 hang-up, south area of Garden Dr., could not locate.

6 pm: Dog at large, 200 block Farmington Rd., dragging leash, returned to owner.

8:26 pm: Criminal mischief, Marco’s Pizza.

10:45 pm: Assisted with loose cattle, 5000 block Co. Rd. 22.

Aug. 1

9:33 am: Report of homeless people living in storage unit, Park Place Storage, spoke to subjects, advised they could not stay there.

2:42 pm: A minivan, driven by Angela S. Morris, 40, Defiance, owned by the Maumee Valley Guidance Center, Defiance, was parked in a driveway at 404 Union St. A sport-utility, driven by Anna M. Gomez, 35, 404 Union St., with passengers Juan Valadez, 31, and Irma Jordy, 47, same address, was backing in the driveway and collided with the minivan.

4:15 pm: Telephone harassment 310 Middle St.

5:35 pm: Report of person with a gun, Sauder Village, gone when officer arrived.

7:04 pm: Neighborhood trouble, 400 block South St.

2:58 pm: Found license plate, 100 block W. Mechanic St., returned to owner.

8:06 pm: Report of marijuana, 100 block S. Street.

10:25 pm: Remove tree limbs from roadway, 100 block S. Defiance St.

Aug. 2

11:33 am: Complaint of tires slashed, 400 block W. Lutz Rd., unfounded, damaged by striking curb.

4:15 pm: Found bent dinner knife in Archbold Swimming Pool area, disposed of knife.

Aug. 3

2:03 am: Juvenile curfew violation.

Note: During the preceding week, Archbold police offi cers gave verbal warnings for disobeying a stop sign, parking in the wrong direction, speeding, improper lane use, and no taillights.
