July 6

10:45 am: Burglary, 421 W. Lutz Rd.

1:45 pm: A semi, driven by Dean Wilbure Bay, Jr., was traveling east on Stryker St., and attempted to turn right, to go south on N. Defiance. To gain enough room to complete the turn, Bay had his vehicle straddling the left- and right-turn lanes. A second semi, traveling south on N. Defiance St. attempted to turn right to go west on Stryker St. Bay began to back his semi to allow room for the other truck to make its turn, and backed into a car driven by Stanley L. Frey, 84, Archbold. No injuries. Bay was cited for improper backing.

6:22 pm: Disabled vehicle, 400 block E. Lutz Rd., help coming.

July 7

11:05 am: 800 block Stryker St., found computer, returned to owner.

8:20 pm: Loose dog, 300 block E. Holland St., returned to owner and warned about dogs running at large.

July 8

2:57 am: Suicidal subject, 200 block Brussel St., turned over to First Call For Help.

2:46 pm: Report of dogs left in vehicle with windows up, Sauder Village, person was in vehicle.

2:58 pm: Report of person trapping dogs and cats in area, report unfounded.

5:44 pm: Loud noise, East Gardens, advised to turn it down.

7:50 pm: Fireworks complaint, E. Lutz Rd.

July 9

3:12 am: Parking violations, 100 Flory Ln.

8:52 am: Suspicious object found in landscaping, Steyer Huber & Associates, was empty detergent bottle, believed to be trash.

9:25 am: Disabled vehicle, Bil-Jax, owner made arrangements to remove vehicle.

11:30 am: Telephone harassment, 402 S. Pleasant St.

July 10

2:32 am: Suspicious vehicle, Main Stop.

5:16 am: Assist fire-rescue, 300 block North Pointe Dr.

10:23 am: Vandalism, Woodland Park.

1 pm: Unknown odor, coming from SW Mills.

3:58 pm: Call to Archbold Swimming Pool, problem with adult patron; person escorted from pool; under investigation.

7 pm: Telephone harassment, 402 S. Pleasant St.

July 11

2:45 pm: Theft, Archbold Swimming Pool.

6:05 pm: Check welfare of person, 600 block N. Defi- ance St., okay.

7:50 pm: Complaint of dog running at large at 2 pm, advised to call when dog is loose.

July 12

8:23 am: Theft, 306 Franklin St.

11:58 am: A volkswagen was traveling north on Co. Rd. 24 and hit a road-closed barricade owned by German Township. Vehicle left the scene.

2:58 pm: Harassment report, 200 block S. Defiance St., unfounded.

July 13

8:44 am: Vandalism, Archbold Elementary School.

Note: During the preceding week, Archbold police officers gave verbal warnings for speeding, no brake lights, no taillights, no license plate light, no registration on trailer.
