Aug. 29

9:44 am: Graffiti painted on boat ramp, Archbold reservoir No. 2.

8:40 pm: Graffiti painted on building, 200 block E. Mechanic St.

Aug. 30

1:50 pm: Found bicycle, 400 block Walnut St.

1:55 pm: Traffic stop, verbal warning for excess smoke, 100 block W. Barre Rd.

9:46 pm: Smoke alarm, Miller Brothers Construction, cleaning persons triggered alarm.

Aug. 31

9:31 am: Barking dog, 100 block Pheasant Ln., left warning on door.

1:27 pm: Assault, Northwest Products.

3:40 pm: A car, driven by Emily M. Gomez, 26, Archbold, was traveling south on S. Defiance St., and was stopped in traffic just north of the Lafayette St.-West Barre Rd. intersection. A second car, driven by Jill A. Vandeusen, 67, Archbold, was traveling south behind the Gomez auto. They collided. Vandeusen was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead.

Sept. 1

10:27 am: Two small children playing around former Burger King building.

4:40 pm: Stray cat, 400 block S. Defiance St., ran off when officer arrived, advised resident not to feed the cat.

12:05 pm: Loose dog, 400 block West St., turned over to dog warden.

3:11 pm: Reckless vehicle, 100 block S. Defiance St., unable to locate.

3:20 pm: Reckless vehicle, 600 block S. Defiance St., unable to locate.

7:44 pm: Juveniles playing in roadway, 200 block Murbach St., advised not to play in road.

Sept. 2

No reports.

During the preceding week, Archbold police offi cers issued verbal warnings for parking in a handicapped space, no front license plate, speeding, illegally-dark window tinting.
