Oct. 21

9:23 am: A pickup truck, driven by Jonathon G. Whithall, 19, rural Metamora, was traveling north on S. Defiance Street, 186 feet north of E. Lugbill Rd. A second pickup, driven by Carl A. Perkins, 44, Archbold, was traveling north on S. Defi- ance St., and was turning right into a private drive. The two vehicles collided. Whithall was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead.

3:27 pm: Domestic dispute, 300 block W. Lutz Rd.; no domestic violence charges filed, as officers could not determine the primary physical aggressor.

Oct. 22

12:42 pm: Tandy Norton, Van Buren, reported that when he arrived at the Sauder Woodworking Erie Distribution Center to pick up a semi trailer, he discovered the trailer had been damaged, possibly by an unknown vehicle. The damaged occurred sometime between Oct. 14 and Oct. 22. The trailer is owned by Pohl Transportation, Versailles.

Oct. 23

6:50 am: A pickup truck, driven by Stephen C. Durbin, 56, Wauseon, was traveling west on E. Lugbill Rd., and was stopped in traffic about 365 feet west of Myers Rd. A car, driven by Rudolph P. Rabe, 64, rural Wauseon, was traveling west behind the pickup. The two vehicles collided. Rabe was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead.

2:20 pm: Report of possible case of subject driving off after pumping gasoline without paying, Friendship Food Mart.

12:15 pm: A semi, driven by Jason E. Stanley, Homeworth, owned by Covenant Transport, Inc., Chattanooga, Tenn., was making a right turn from the southbound lane of N. Defi- ance St., to the westbound lane of Stryker St. The right-side trailer wheels struck the bell bollard, damaging the paint on the bollard and two rims on the trailer. Stanley was cited for failure to maintain reasonable control.

4:07 pm: Report of suspicious vehicle, spoke to both parties, all okay.

Oct. 24

Oct. 25

9:20 am: Report of breaking and entering and theft, 230 E. Lugbill Rd.

Oct. 26

2:47 am: Citations issued to Adam Short, 20, Archbold, for DUI and improper lane change, 1000 block Stryker St.

12:20 pm: Report of suspicious person going door-to-door, advised subject to stop at police station.

10:45 pm: Report of lost keys, Archbold High School.

11:19 pm: Wallet found, 1900 block S. Defiance St.

Oct. 27

4:45 am: Complaint of loud subjects, 100 block Pleasant St.

9:48 pm: Thomas G. Franks, rural Fayette, reported that his pickup truck was damaged while it was parked at the Archbold Knights of Columbus Rebeau Hall. The damage occurred sometime between 6 pm and 9:48 pm.

(Note: During the preceding week, Archbold Police officers gave verbal warnings for left of center, no visible license plates, speeding, no lights.)
