Jan. 31

9:26 pm: Juvenile pointed laser light into residence, 100 block Elm St., spoke to juvenile and juvenile’s mother.

Feb. 1

12:25 am: Lost dog, 100 block West Barre Rd., located and returned to owner.

2:30 pm: Possible theft of firewood, 300 block Ditto Street, spoke to suspect, who will return wood.

2:45 pm: A pickup truck owned by Larry Frey, rural Archbold, was parked in Archbold Community Library parking lot. A car driven by Jeanne Schrock, 63, Archbold, was backing in the parking lot and collided with the pickup.

10 pm: A semi driven by Tommy L. Williamson, 39, Horse Cave, Ky., owned by Super Service, Inc., Batavia, Ill., was traveling east on Stryker St. and attempted a right turn on N. Defiance St. The truck wheels went over the bollard, damaging its tires and rims. Williamson was cited for violating rules of turning at intersections.

Feb. 2

8:16 am: A car driven by Jamison J. Grime, 35, rural Montpelier, with passenger Darin Oberlin, 14, same address, was traveling south on S. Defiance St. A second car, driven by Madchen S. Pence, 17, Wauseon, was ahead of Grime auto and stopped in traffic, about 51 feet south of Union St. They collided. Grime was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead.

1:58 pm: A sport-utility driven by Sylvia J. Miller, 63, Archbold, was traveling west on W. Mechanic St., and was stopped, turning right to go north on Franklin St. A car driven by Trent R. Yoder, 18, Archbold, was stopped behind the Miller auto. They collided. Yoder was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead.

Feb. 3

3:48 pm: Possible identity theft, 615 N. Defiance St.

10:38 pm: Loud music, 400 block South St., advised to turn it down.

Feb. 4

12:06 am: Loud music, 800 block West St., unfounded.

11:30 am: Disabled minipickup truck.

7:59 pm: Assist Archbold Fire Department with unlock for medical call, East Gardens.

Feb. 5

10:40 am: Employee issue, ConAgra, resolved without police intervention.

7:12 pm: Pedestrian struck in crosswalk, N. Defiance St at W. Holland St.

7:34 pm: Reckless operation, 100 block West Barre Rd., vehicle gone when offi- cer arrived.

Feb. 6

4:45 am: A pickup driven by Eli J. Rupp, 20, rural Fayette, was parked in front of 66 Hawthorn Dr. As he backed up in the snow, his vehicle collided with a mailbox. Rupp was cited for violating rules for starting and backing vehicles.

4:59 am: Possible prowler, 500 block Jackson St., unfounded.

9:40 am: A pickup driven by Charles E. Wettle, 66, Archbold, was plowing snow in the Friendship Foods parking lot. As Wettle was backing, a salt spreader attached to the rear collided with a parked sport-utility vehicle owned by Patsy L. Voegel, rural Archbold.

11:15 am: Prowler, 503 Jackson St.

(Note:
During the preceding week, Archbold police offi cers gave verbal warnings for commercial truck on a residential street, speeding, disobeying a stop sign, disobeying a traffic signal, driving with a view obstruction, no lights, and equipment violation (tailpipe dragging).)
