8:28 am, Vandalism, Monterey Ct.

Dec. 7

6:51 am: Semi struck street light post, northwest corner of N. Defiance St.- Stryker St. intersection, detailed in last week’s issue.

8:17 am: A sport-utility driven by Andrea J. Allan, 18, Fayette, was traveling south on Clyde’s Way, and was stopped at the West Barre Rd. intersection. A car driven by Amber N. Birky, 16, rural Archbold, with passenger Destiny K. Keefer, 16, rural Fayette, was traveling south behind the Allan vehicle. The two collided. Birky was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead.

9:03 am: A pickup truck driven by Jason M. Martz, 34, Archbold, owned by the Village of Archbold, with passenger Jacob T. Wyse, 30, rural Ridgeville Corners, was traveling east on W. Holland St., and was stopped at the N. Defiance St. intersection. A car driven by Ruth Giffin-Matthews, 49, rural Wauseon, was traveling south on N. Defiance St., and attempted to turn right onto W. Holland St. The car slid on the snow-covered road and collided with the pickup. Giffin-Matthews was cited for violating rules for turning at intersectionsright turn.

10:45 pm: Vandalism to vehicle, Nu-Arch Lanes.

10:27 am: Vandalism, Schlatter St.

7:44 pm: Citation to Susan M. Ostheimer, 54, rural Fayette, for railroad crossing violation, S. Defiance St. at Norfolk Southern crossing.

10:27 am: A car driven by Helen Burkholder, 87, Archbold, was traveling west on Stryker St. A car driven by Patricia J. Eisel, 51, Alvordton, was traveling north on Franklin St., and attempted to turn left onto Stryker St. The two vehicles collided. Burkholder was cited for disobeying a red traffic signal.

Dec. 10

9:57 pm: 911 hang-up call, 22000 block St. Rt. 2, phone problems, all okay.

Dec. 12

3:55 pm: Citation to Jennifer R. Grime, 41, rural Archbold, speeding, 700 block E. Lutz Rd.

Note:
During the preceding week, Archbold police offi cers gave verbal warnings for disobeying traffic signals, parking in the street, speeding, and going the wrong way on a one-way street.
