Archbold Police Locate Alleged Burglar

Archbold police arrested Rogelio Zamora, also known as Roger Zamora, 34, Archbold, on a warrant while they were investigating a burglary charge.

Veronica Zamora, 33, Archbold, called officers to Lot 34 in the Colony Meadows trailer court about 7:10 pm, Wednesday, July 6.

The home is the residence of her mother, Rose Rangel, 51, who was on vacation at the time.

Veronica Zamora said a flat-screen television set, valued at $129, had been taken. The home was not locked; there was no forced entry.

An officer took pictures at the scene.

Officers were called back to the Rangel residence about 11 pm after receiving a call that the suspect was back.

The officer wrote in his report, “The suspect was gone when I arrived.

“However, while I was searching the area around (Colony Meadows), the suspect returned, and was placed under arrest.”

There was a warrant out for his arrest in connection with another case.

Rogelio Zamora was taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, where, as of Friday, July 8, he was being held on cases from Fulton County Juvenile Court, Fulton County Western District Court, and Sylvania Municipal Court.

Archbold police documents indicate that Rogelio Zamora also resides at Lot 34 in Colony Meadows, the same address as the victim.
