A crash report involving an Archbold man in Defi- ance County resulted in a Defiance man being transported by Archbold rescue.
The incident started late Saturday, Sept. 6, or early Sunday, Sept. 7, when the Ohio State Highway Patrol report states Troy Dylan Flores, 18, Archbold, was driving a car north on Adams Ridge Road in Defiance County. There were two passengers in the auto: Steven J. Moden, 36, rural Defi- ance, the owner of the car, and Brock A. Thompson, 37, Defiance.
As the car entered a lefthand curve about a half-mile north of Nagel Road, the car went off the right side of the road, struck the ditch, and overturned several times, coming to rest on its top.
Flores was wearing lap and shoulder belts, and the airbag deployed.
Moden and Thompson were not wearing belts and were ejected from the vehicle.
A Defiance County Sheriff Department spokesman said the victims were transported to a residence in Archbold.
Archbold police were dispatched to 402 Stryker St. at 3:58 am, Sunday, where they found a person “lying on the floor, puking, and in obvious pain.”
The person “stated they had been in an accident, but could not provide details.”
Further investigation revealed the person, identified as Thompson, was in the crash.
The Archbold police report states the car was owned by the resident of 402 Stryker, but the OSHP report states Moden, the car owner, has a rural Defiance address.
Archbold Rescue transported Thompson to Fulton County Health Center. Moden arrived at FCHC as well.
Both were transported to a Toledo hospital.
Information available from FCHC does not indicate which hospital the men were taken to.
Flores, who was not injured, received a citation from an OSHP trooper for operating a motor vehicle without reasonable control.
