Archbold Man Gets Prison Term

LeRoy Acevedo, 45, Archbold, has been given an eight-month prison sentence after entering a guilty plea to a charge of violating a protection order.

Acevedo was originally indicted May 18 by the Fulton County Grand Jury. Scott Haselman, Fulton County prosecuting attorney, said in a press release, on or about April 5, Acevedo recklessly violated a protection order.

A guilty plea was entered into court records Aug. 4.

In a sentence handed down Thursday, Sept. 17, Acevedo was ordered to pay prosecution costs, any fees, and court-appointed attorney fees in addition to his prison sentence.
