Ruben Rangel Jr., rural Archbold, is free on bond after he was arrested in a Wednesday, July 28 raid at Platinum Showgirls, a gentleman’s club in North Toledo.
Toledo police officers, Ohio Department of Public Safety officers, and officers from the Northwest Ohio Violent Crimes Against Children task force served a search warrant at the establishment about 11:30 pm that night.
Rangel was one of seven persons arrested. He was charged with trafficking in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Rangel also had an outstanding warrant on a charge of felony domestic violence. The charge stems from an alleged incident that occurred in December 2009.
He was held at the Lucas County Corrections Center until Thursday, Aug. 5, when he posted $1,500 bond on the trafficking charge. He was released on his own recognizance on the domestic case.
TPD officials stated that during the raid, officers seized prescription pills, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, three handguns, six long guns, military-style boxes of ammunition, several computers and digital video recorders.
