Matthew A. Short, 43, Archbold was indicted on charges of theft and tampering with records by the Fulton County Grand Jury, Monday, Nov. 19.
In a press release, Scott Haselman, Fulton County prosecuting attorney, said, “on or about Nov. 20, 2017 to May 6, 2018, he (Short) stole unemployment compensation benefits valued at more than $1,000 but less than $7,500 from a governmental entity.
“He also allegedly tampered with records belonging to a governmental entity.”
Short was one of 23 people indicted.
Others indicted:
•Holly C. Lowe, 34, Lyons; indicted on two counts, aggravated possession of drugs; on or about Oct. 11 and Oct. 15, she allegedly possessed methamphetamine.
•Kenneth J. Compo, 50, Bryan; indicted on one count, aggravated possession of drugs; on or about Oct. 15, allegedly possessed methamphetamine.
•Brian J. Michel, 28, Bryan; indicted on one count, aggravated possession of drugs; on or about Sept. 14, allegedly possessed Fentanyl.
•Matthew R. Munn, 26, Fayette; indicted on two counts, aggravated possession of drugs; on or about Sept. 2, allegedly possessed morphine and codeine.
•Brooke J. Werder, 24, Wauseon; indicted on one count each, aggravated possession of drugs, tampering with evidence; on or about Oct. 25, allegedly possessed methamphetamine and allegedly tampered with evidence in an official proceeding or investigation.
•Daniel A. Mendez, 39, Lyons; indicted on one count, aggravated possession of drugs; on or about July 3, allegedly possessed methamphetamine.
•Michael A. Perkins, 34, Delta; indicted on one count, possession of cocaine; on or about July 31, allegedly possessed cocaine.
•Donald E. Kerr, III, 29, Wauseon; indicted on two counts, aggravated possession of drugs; on or about July 3 and Aug. 2, allegedly possessed methamphetamine.
•James D. Elias, 57, Wauseon; indicted on one count, aggravated burglary; on or about Nov. 4, allegedly trespassed in an occupied structure with purpose to commit a criminal offense and allegedly inflicted or attempted to inflict physical harm on another person.
•Joey L. Barthel, 26, Wauseon; indicted on one count each, abduction, using weapons while intoxicated; two counts, domestic violence; on or about Nov. 3-4, allegedly caused or attempted to cause physical harm to a family or household member, allegedly had a firearm while under the influence of alcohol; allegedly, by force or threat, restrained the liberty of another under circumstances which created a risk of physical harm to that other person.
•Ida M. DeLong; 42, Butler, Ind.; indicted on one count, aggravated possession of drugs, one count, trafficking in marijuana; on or about Nov. 7, allegedly possessed methamphetamine and allegedly transported marijuana for sale by herself or another person.
•Jennifer L. Green, 44, Markle, Ind.; indicted on one count each, aggravated possession of drugs, trafficking in marijuana, receiving stolen property; on or about Nov. 7, allegedly possessed methamphetamine and allegedly transported marijuana for sale by herself or another person.
•Christopher J. LaPoint, 51, Swanton; indicted on two counts, violating a protection order; on or about Oct. 2 and Oct. 28, allegedly violated terms of a protection order issued against him.
•Avante S. Koonce, 26, Wauseon; indicted on one count, failure to appear on a personal recognizance bond; on or about Nov. 13, allegedly failed to appear for a pre-trial conference in the Fulton County Court of Common Pleas.
•Jesse V. Whitehead, 28, Wauseon; indicted on one count, failure to appear on personal recognizance bond; on or about Nov. 13, he allegedly failed to appear for his sentencing hearing in Fulton County Court of Common Pleas.
•Michael A. Thompson, 28, address unknown; indicted on two counts, burglary, one count, trespassing in a habitation when a person is present or likely to be present; on or about Nov. 10-11, he allegedly trespassed in an occupied structure to commit a criminal offense.
•Bonnie J. Sinclair, 39, Galesburg, Ill., was indicted on one count, receiving stolen property; on or about Nov. 11, allegedly received a motor vehicle knowing or having reasonable cause to believe that it had been stolen.
•Andrew W. Seiler, 35, Delta; April Johnson, 40, Delta; Matthew S. Strayer, 52, Delta; all indicted on one count each, possession of marijuana, illegal cultivation of marijuana; on or about Aug. 6, allegedly cultivated marijuana.
•Ryan T. Gainor, 26, Wauseon; indicted on one count each, aggravated possession of drugs, possession of heroin; on or about Nov. 14, allegedly possessed methamphetamine and heroin.
•Bryon L. Rohda, 26, Oakwood; indicted on one count, burglary; on or about Nov. 15, allegedly trespassed in an occupied structure when another person was present, with purpose to commit a criminal offense.
