AHS 8, Cardinal Stritch 0

The Streaks showed their domination against Cardinal Stritch. The game showcased what Ruthie Beck, Megan Arend, Ashley Davis, Courtney Day, Ellen Yoder, Sierra Nofziger, Erika Salinas, Morgan Ducey, Kelly Hesterman, Hillary Short, Carley Wyse, and Mindy Rupp have to offer in upcoming seasons.

Alicia Drewes scored four goals, Jessica Ramirez scored three, and Paige Stamm had one.

AHS 3, Lake 3

The Streaks won 5-0 last year, but it wasn’t as easy this year. Archbold controlled the ball for most of the first half.

Lake had limited opportunities on goal, but a couple of AHS breakdowns in playing the tactical side of the game gave Lake a 2-0 lead.

The Streaks gathered themselves and came back with a goal from Kelsey Moshier to end the first half down 2-1.

Normally after a halftime pep talk from the Kidder coaches, the Streaks come out strong. That wasn’t the case on Saturday, as Lake controlled the ball for the first 15 minutes of the second half.

After Drewes gained possession of the ball, she dribbled up the field, shot, and scored to close the Streaks to within one, 3-2.

Ten minutes later she added another goal to tie the score at 3.

Lake made several attempts to break the tie, but all were denied by Jenni Beck, goalkeeper.
