The Archbold girls soccer team captured three games last week to keep their record perfect at 12-0, 4-0 in the Northwest Ohio Athletic League.
The Streaks, ranked fourth in Division III in this week’s Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association poll, defeated Continental and Miller City in a pair of non-league games and shut out Delta 7-0 in an NWOAL contest.
AHS 9, Continental 3
Archbold traveled to Continental (6-6-0), Tuesday, Sept. 26, jumped out to a 7-1 first-half lead, and cruised to a 9-3 victory.
Andi Peterson led the way with a hat trick, scoring three goals. Her first came less than a minute into the game.
Naomi Rodriguez and Emie Peterson each added a pair of goals.
Grace Mayer and Regan Ramirez rounded out the scoring for Archbold, scoring a goal apiece.
Mayer and Rodriguez scored 40 seconds apart– Mayer scored with 36:56 on the clock and Rodriguez with 36:16 left in the first half.
Chloe Nofziger assisted on four goals; E. Peterson had two and Giulia Lee had one.
AHS 7, Delta 0
AHS welcomed the Panthers (4-7-1, 1-4 NWOAL) to Spengler Field, Thursday, Sept. 28.
E. Peterson scored both of Archbold’s goals in the first half for a 2-0 halftime lead.
Archbold poured it on in the second half and pulled away to get the victory.
Scoring in the second half were Macy Peterson, Brittney Ramirez, Kamryn Hostetler with two goals, and Mayer.
E. Peterson had two assists while Hostetler, M. Peterson, Faith Wyse and Dakota Stamm each had one.
AHS 4, Miller City 0
Archbold recorded its second shutout of the week and eighth of the season when the Streaks defeated Miller City (1-11-0) 4-0, Saturday, Sept. 30, in a morning contest at Spengler Field.
Nofziger scored a pair of goals in the first half for a 2- 0 halftime lead.
Hostetler scored with 35:02 to play for a 3-0 lead.
Lee put the finishing touches on another victory with the final goal.
