Archbold Girls Shoot Down Pirates 80-30

Blanking Continental 27-0 in the first quarter, Archbold (7-1) easily defeated the Pirates 80-30 in girls basketball action, Tuesday, Dec. 19, at Continental.

“It was nice to see us get off to a good start and shoot the ball well,” said Brian Ziegler, AHS head coach.

“I thought our guards did a nice job getting the ball to Lily Krieger and Andi Peterson in the first half.

“We did a nice job defensively keeping Continental from getting into any kind of offensive flow.”

Eleven Blue Streaks got in the scoring column. Krieger led all scorers, with 18 points. Peterson scored 14 and Gabby Nafziger, 12.

Amber Logan led the Pirates (0-7) with 11.

The Streaks made 36 field goals, including three threepointers, in the contest.

AHS grabbed 25 rebounds to 13 for Continental. Krieger led the Streaks, with eight.

The Pirates committed 27 turnovers to Archbold’s 14.
