Archbold Boys, Anthony Wayne Girls Win Walker/Dilbone Relays

The Archbold boys track team won its first Walker- Dilbone Relays title since 2014, Friday, April 28, at AHS.

The Blue Streaks finished atop the podium with 97 points.

Bowling Green, last year’s champion, finished second with 84. Liberty Center had 81, and Wauseon, the 2015 champion, was fourth with 78.

Pettisville finished seventh with 15 points.

Anthony Wayne defended its girls title, finishing with 116 points. Bowling Green was second with 64, and Wauseon was third with 53.5.

Pettisville placed fifth with 45, and Archbold was sixth with 44.

The PHS girls team of Elizabeth Sauder, Nichole Foor, Morgan Leppelmeier, and Alexa Leppelmeier set two meet records.

They won the distance medley (400 meters, 800 meters, 1200 meters, 1600 meters) in 12 minutes, 49.05 seconds, breaking the previous record of 12:51.85 set in 2015 by Liberty Center.

They also won the 4×800- meter relay in 9:53.1, breaking the previous record of 9:55.71 set in 2015 by Wauseon.
