Several Archbold residents have roles in the Archbold Community Theatre production of “Death by Chocolate.”
Susan Dominique and Jeff Patterson have lead roles.
Dominique portrays Coco. Coco and her sister, Bonbon, played by Pearl Borton, Napoleon, are the Purvis sisters, who own a small coffee shop in New York City called “Precious Perks.”
Vinnie the Leach has mysteriously died on the floor of the coffee shop, and private eye Nick Noir, played by Patterson, is hired to solve the murder.
He and his overly-devoted secretary Selma, played by Michelle Johnson, Wauseon, tackle the case.
If they can’t find the killer and clear the sisters, Coco and Bonbon will be ruined.
Other mysterious charac- ters in the mix are played by Teresa Van Sickle, Archbold; Jeff Roth and Shawn Liechty, Pettisville; Kyle Adair, Napoleon; Myah Shaffer and Angelina and Samantha Sorge, Wauseon.
Steve Van Sickle, Archbold, directs. He is assisted by Fairy Riter, Stryker.
“Death by Chocolate” is described as a “good old fashioned Noir-type comedymystery, filled with interesting characters with secrets to hide.
