Anthony Wayne McCoy, Jr., age 17, of Archbold and formerly of Rossford, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2012, due to injuries sustained from an automobile accident in Amboy Township.
He was born on April 2, 1995, in Toledo, to Anthony and Monique (Wishon) McCoy.
Tony attended Rossford High School and currently was a junior at Archbold High School. He was employed at McDonalds in Archbold and Interstate Lanes in Rossford.
Tony was an avid bowler and just recently bowled a perfect 300 game at Glass Bowl Lanes on March 31, 2012.
He was involved in the spring musical at Archbold and learning sign language.
Tony was a loving son, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, and he will be dearly missed.
Surviving are his father, Anthony (Lorraine) McCoy, Sr.; brothers, Thomas McCoy, Maurice Makay and Charles “CJ’ Clark, Jr.; sisters, Erin McCoy, Pamela Acres, Amanda O’Leary, Katrina and Ci’ara Clark; grandparents, Pamela (James) Clark, Jacquelin (Donald) Singer and Nancy Wishon; aunts, Melissa Wishon and Judy (William) Robinson; uncles, Martin (Brenda) Wishon, J.R. (Dionna) Wishon and Matthew (Shawna Smith) Wishon, Brent (Melissa) McCoy and Jason (Wendy) McCoy. Also surviving is his godparents, Richard & Joany Horn; best friend, Austin Reynolds; and many cousins.
Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Monique McCoy; brother, Jeffery Wishon; grandfather, Melvin Wishon, Sr.; great-grandmother, Ruby Branham; and aunt, Michelle Wishon.
Family and friends may visit at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Rd., Rossford, on Friday, April 13, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 614 N. Defiance St. Archbold, OH 43502, where the family will greet visitors beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in Tony’s memory be made to the Anthony McCoy Memorial at PNC Bank.
