Anna L. Aeschliman




Anna L. Aeschliman, age 91 years, of rural Stryker, passed away Saturday afternoon, July 17, 2010, at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold.

She was born Dec. 18, 1918, near Archbold, the daughter of Aaron and Sarah (Eicher) Stuckey. She married Hyrthal Aeschliman on Feb. 18, 1941, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 2007.

A resident of the Stryker area many years, she was a homemaker and helped on the farm.

She was happiest when surrounded by her family.

She was a member of Pine Grove Mennonite Church near Stryker, where she was involved in teaching children and serving in many other areas.

She is survived by five children, Janice (Evan) Kreider of Vancouver, British Columbia, Judy (Charles) Davis of Fort Wayne, Ind., Betty (Doug) Beck and David (Connie) Aeschliman, both of Stryker, and Susie (Marlin) Groff of Lancaster, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ivan Stuckey of Burr Oak, Mich., and Arthur (Mary Ellen) Stuckey of Archbold; and one sister, Clara Frey of Wauseon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a granddaughter, Terri Davis; five brothers, Walter Stuckey, Chester Stuckey, Joseph Stuckey, Earl Stuckey, and Donald Stuckey.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 22, at 11 a.m. at the Lockport Mennonite Church, rural Stryker, with Pastors Robert Stuckey and Gary and Sandy Stuckey officiating. Interment will precede at 10 a.m. in the Lockport Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Fairlawn Chapel from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21.

Short Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Memorials may be given to Pine Grove Mennonite Church or the donor’s favorite charity.
