The Archbold junior varsity softball team hosted Elmwood, Saturday, April 21. Archbold was down 3-0 early but scored four runs in the second inning and went on to win 13-3.
Shannon Neuenschwander hit a walk-off two-run home run in the fifth to end the game.
Jen Gerken had a triple and two singles. Peyton Driver had a triple and a double.
Winter Fricke was the winning pitcher.
Swanton came to town, Monday, April 23, and the Streaks won 8-2. Fricke was the winning pitcher.
Desi Newman had two runs batted in on a double and a single. Fricke, Gerken, Paige Peterson and Hannah Hesterman all had hits.
The team traveled to Anthony Wayne, Tuesday, April 24, and lost 7-6. Two errors in the fifth proved costly.
Jessie Walker had a home run and three RBIs while Peterson had a double and a single.
Archbold hosted Hilltop, Thursday, April 26. The Streaks won 22-3 in five innings to up their record to 16-2.
Fricke was the winning pitcher; she also had four singles and five RBIs at the plate. Neuenschwander chipped in with two singles and a double.
Peyton Driver, Gerken, Newman, Peterson and Walker had two hits each. Ashley Short and Ciara Burris also had singles.
