The Archbold junior varsity softball team finished its season, Monday, May 7, by cruising to a 13-3, five-inning win over Bryan at Memorial Park.
The team was down 1-0 after one inning but came back strong in the second, scoring five runs.
Winter Fricke was the winning pitcher; she also had two hits. Alexa Coressel also had two hits. Desi Newman scored three times.
The Streaks ended with a 16-3 record and outscored their opponents 266-59. They hit 11 home runs, led by Newman with four and Shannon Neuenschwander with three.
They also pounded out 16 triples, led by Jen Gerken with five. Newman slugged in 40 runs batted in, while Peyton Driver had 22; Neuenschwander, 20; Gerken, 19; and Jessie Walker, 18.
