The Archbold junior varsity boys basketball team held Delta to four field goals and cruised to a 45-17 victory, Friday, Feb. 10.
Archbold led 22-10 at the half and boosted its margin with a 15-5 edge in the third quarter.
Delta shot 4-21 from the field and 7-8 from the foul line while turning the ball over 17 times.
The Blue Streaks shot 13- 29 from the field, including 12-24 inside the three-point line. The Streaks cashed in on 18-29 from the foul line and turned the ball over only six times.
Devin Shannon led 10 Streaks who scored with 13 points.
“We played a very good game defensively against Delta,” said Joe Frank, AHS coach. “We made it hard for them to get clean looks, and our defensive pressure led to a lot of turnovers.
“Offensively, we played a decent game but still have room for improvement. A huge statistic in the game was us turning it over only six times.
“We took very good care of the basketball.”
