AHS Grad In Bluffton Play

Eliot Nofziger, a 2010 Archbold High School graduate, will play one of the principal roles in the Bluffton University fall production of “The Glass Menagerie,” a play by Tennessee Williams.

Nofziger is a BU freshman.

Narrated by the character Tom Wingfield, the play revolves around Tom’s sister Laura, a shy young woman who lives in a world of phonograph records and her collection of glass animals. Their mother suggests Tom bring home a “gentleman caller” for Laura, so Tom invites a coworker, Jim, to dinner.

The drama is about shattered illusions, complex family dynamics, and responsibilities to one another.

Nofziger, son of Ross and Jo, plays Jim, the gentleman

caller.

The first baseball game using modern rules, written and developed by New York bank teller Alexander Cartwright, was played in 1845. Prior to that time, fielders would throw the ball at baserunners to get them out.
