The Archbold golf team won three straight dual matches last week before finishing fourth at the Tom Pickerel Invitational, Saturday, Sept. 15, in Toledo.
AHS 168, Antwerp 195
The Streaks opened the week with a 168-195 victory over Antwerp at Wauseon, Monday, Sept. 10.
Zach Short was match medalist with a score of 38.
Stuart Wyse shot a 41, and Antonio Cuellar shot a 43. Kevin Boyers shot a 46 to finish the team scoring.
Michael Hesterman finished with a 48. Jackson Kelly shot a 54.
No Antwerp golfer shot lower than a 47.
AHS 175, Holgate 204
The Streaks traveled to Defiance to play the Tigers, Tuesday, Sept. 11.
Wyse and Boyers were match medalists with low scores of 41. Short shot a 46 and Cuellar had a 47.
Hesterman shot a 49, and Brodie Ranzau had a 50.
AHS 167, Evergreen 192
Archbold hosted the Vikings, Thursday, Sept. 13, at Wauseon.
Short and Boyers shared match medalist honors with scores of 41.
Wyse shot a 42 and Cuellar, a 43 to finish the team scoring.
Ranzau shot a 45 and Elijah Miller, a 50.
No Viking finished with a score lower than a 46.
Tom Pickerel Invite
The Streaks placed fourth in the Tom Pickerel Golf Invitational, Saturday, Sept. 15, at the Chippewa Golf Course in Toledo.
Clay won the tournament with a team score of 312. Clyde was second with 320.
Archbold finished with a 325.
Wyse was low man for AHS with an 18-hole score of 77. Short shot a 79; Boyers, an 83; and Cuellar, an 86.
Ranzau finished with a 100.
NWOAL Golf Tourney
The Streaks play in the Northwest Ohio Athletic League Golf Tournament, Friday, Sept. 21, at Auglaize Country Club, Defiance.
Action begins at 9 a.m.
Bryan will attempt to defend its title and is seeking its fifth straight league title.
