Leading 24-11 after one and 44-19 at the break, Archbold easily brought home a 70-41 non-league victory from the Bird Cage at Pettisville, Thursday, Dec. 21.

“I don’t think we matched them as far as being aggressive tonight,” said Jason Waldvogel, PHS head coach.

“We got exactly what we expected from them, but I just don’t think we executed our game plan very well. When they get aggressive and you’re not aggressive, it’s in their favor.”

“We did a great job coming out with a lot of energy,” said Brian Ziegler, AHS head coach.“We did a nice job defensively, which got our offense going.

“We moved the ball extremely well and had many unselfish passes for some nice assists.”

Leading 6-5, Archbold (8-1) went on an 18-6 run to end the first period leading 24-11.

The second was more of the same, as the Streaks outscored PHS 20-8 for a 25- point halftime advantage.

The second half was relatively even, as AHS scored 26 points to 22 for Pettisville (5-4) for the 70-41 final.
