AHS Girls Soccer Beats Miller City, Continental; Falls To Kalida



The Archbold girls soccer team is 9-3 with only four regular-season games left after two wins and a loss last week.

The Streaks hosted Continental to open the week, Tuesday, Sept. 25. Lauren Kindinger scored both goals in Archbold’s 2-0 victory. Cassidy Wyse and Mara Beck had assists.

Continental dropped to 9- 1-2 with the loss.

Kalida 1, AHS 0

The Streaks traveled to Kalida, Thursday, Sept. 27, to take on the Wildcats, who were ranked eighth in Division III in last week’s Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association poll.

Kalida, who is 10-0-1, scored the game’s only goal with 33 minutes left in the second half for the 1-0 victory.

AHS 2, Miller City 0

The Blue Streaks were back on the road, Saturday, Sept. 29, to Miller City. The Wildcats dropped to 7-8 as AHS scored twice in the second half for a 2-0 victory.

Alicia Hernandez scored with 38:39 on the clock, followed by a Kindinger goal with 37:40 left.

Wyse and Hernandez each had assists.
