AHS Girls Sixth, Boys Seventh At OG Invite

Archbold finished sixth in the Girls Blue Division race and seventh in the Boys Blue Division race at the Ottawa-Glandorf Blue/Gold Cross Country Invitational, Saturday, Sept. 19.

Girls

New Haven won with a team score of 43 points. Wapakoneta was second with 80, and Van Wert was third with 91.

Archbold was sixth with 180.

Gwynne Riley was first into the chute for AHS. She placed 14th in 21 minutes, 53 seconds.

Alicia Hernandez was 34th in 23:14, and Emily Roth was 43rd in 23:51. Elizabeth Schmucker placed 53rd in 24:46, and Taylor DeWolfe was 58th in 24:56.

Other AHS runners, their places and times: 61. Maura Riley 25:14; 64. Keyndal Hudson 25:26; 71. Rosalyn Flores 25:37; 109. Caitlyn Beldon 28:57; 125. Natalie Roth 39:11.

Wapakoneta’s Allie Zofkie won in 19:32.

Boys

New Haven also won the boys race, finishing with 50 points. Van Wert was second, with 66. Carey was third, with 115.

 

 

Archbold was seventh, with 194.

Logan Garrow finished first into the chute for the Streaks. He placed ninth in 17:33.

Luke McQuade was 16th in 17:59. Brendon Johns placed 51st in 19:11; Bryson Taylor was 62nd in 19:20; and Matt Kinsman was 65th in 19:28.

Other AHS runners, their places and times: 100. Michael Short 20:17; 121. Lathon Babcock 21:24; 129. Adam Kinsman 21:47; 184. Cory Erbskorn 26:37; 185. Eli Wyse 27:14.

New Haven’s Deric Laurent won the race in 16:49.
