Archbold turned a 12- 7 first-quarter deficit into a 25-21 halftime lead and went on to defeat Napoleon 57-51, Saturday, Feb. 2, in girls basketball action at Napoleon.

The Streaks (10-7) led 42- 37 after three, and outscored the Wildcats (13-5) by one point, 15-14, in the fourth.

Andi Peterson led AHS with 13 points. Lily Krieger had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Harley Phillips finished with 10 points.

Napoleon’s Taylor Strock led all scorers, with 24. Caely Ressler added 12.

AHS 56, LC 29

The Streaks led 13-2 after one and 25-8 at the half on their way to a 56-29 Northwest Ohio Athletic League win at Liberty Center, Monday, Feb. 4.

“Getting off to a good start was important, and I thought we did that with a 20-2 run to start the game off,” said Brian Ziegler, AHS head coach.

“We played very unselfish, with a lot of nice assists.

“We did a nice job staying patient with our offense and had a good defensive game, only giving up 29 points.

Lily Krieger led the Streaks with 15 points. Andi Peterson was the only other player in double figures, with 10.

Savannah Jenkins was the high scorer for the Tigers, finishing with eight.

The Tigers (6-13, 0-5 NWOAL) won the rebounding battle, 20-19, but committed nine turnovers to six for AHS.

The Streaks were 14-18 at the foul line; LC was 4-8.
