Archbold boys track team members won four individual events on their way to a third-place finish at the Division II district track and field meet, Wednesday, May 16, and Friday, May 18, at Oak Harbor.
Hayden Stamm and Danny Young, both seniors, were triple winners.
Individually, Stamm won the 400-meter dash and Young won the 300-meter hurdles. They were also on the winning 4×200-meter relay team with Jacob Ott and Levi Wyse and 4×400 team with Ott and Blake Drewes.
The Streaks finished third in team points with 79. Eastwood, the only team Archbold lost to in the regular season, won with 101. Sandusky Perkins was second with 89.
The top four finishers in each event advanced to the regional meet in Lexington, Thursday, May 24, and Saturday, May 26.
Blue Streaks advancing to regionals and their finishes at district:
400: 1. Stamm 51.12 seconds; 3. Drewes 52.15.
300 hurdles: 1. Young 38.95.
4×200: 1. Archbold (Ott, Stamm, Wyse, Young), one minute, 30.34 seconds.
4×400: 1. Archbold (Ott, Stamm, Drewes, Young) 3:24.88.
High jump: 1. Durden (Rossford), six feet, four inches; 4. Drewes 6-1.
Discus: 1. Bryer (Genoa) 152-11; 3. Tyson Dietrich 151-0.
