After finishing second last year, the Archbold boys track and field team reclaimed the Diller Invitational championship title to remain undefeated in the 2012 season, Saturday, April 21, at Ayersville.

The Streaks had last won the boys team title in 2010.

“I am very proud of the boys and the way that they are performing,” said Dina Gladieux, AHS head coach.

“They are working hard during practices, and it is showing in the meets.

“Yes, it is very exciting for the obvious victories/record breakers, but it is just exciting to see steady improvements in personal bests for the athletes.”

Archbold won four events, setting meet records in three of the four, and took the team title with 127.5 points.

Columbus Grove was second with 120, while Tinora was third with 81.5. Pettisville finished eighth with 28.

The 4×200-meter relay team of Jacob Ott, Hayden Stamm, Levi Wyse, and Danny Young set a meet record of one minute, 31.7 seconds, breaking the previous record of 1:32.3 set by Patrick Henry in 2007.
