The Archbold boys soccer team played a pair of games last week, defeating Riverdale 6-0 and tying Springfield 0-0 to run its record to 5-1-1.

The Streaks traveled to Springfield (2-2-3), Thursday, Sept. 7, for a non-conference contest.
Archbold managed only two shots on goal while goalie Caleb Wooley stopped seven Springfield shots to secure the scoreless draw.
Archbold won the junior varsity game 2-0.
AHS 6, Riverdale 0
The Streaks, ranked second in Division III by the Northwest Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association and seventh in Div. III statewide by the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association, returned to action Saturday, Sept. 9, to welcome the Riverdale Falcons (1-4-1).
Andrew Hogrefe got AHS on the board with a goal on an assist from Josh Kidder with 23:35 to play in the first half.
Archbold took a 2-0 lead on a Clay Gerig goal with 9:26 on the clock.
The Streaks increased their lead to 3-0 on a Kidder goal with 38:01 on the clock in the second half.
Kaiden Bedsole scored a pair of goals within a 23-second span for a 5-0 lead.
Lucas Yoder scored the final goal with 16:07 left for the 6-0 final.
Hogrefe had a pair of assists while Kidder and Luke McQuade each had an assist.
Wooley stopped eight shots on goal to record the shutout.
Archbold had 22 shots on goal.
The Archbold JV game with Defiance ended in a scoreless tie.
