The Archbold baseball team raised its record to 7-4 after two wins last week.
Picking up Northwest Ohio Athletic League victories over Liberty Center and Delta, the Streaks stand at 2-0 in the league.
The Streaks dropped one contest last week, a 3-2 nonleague loss at Pettisville (see Pettisville baseball article for the rundown). AHS 14, LC 2
Archbold hurler Tyson Dietrich had a no-hitter going with two outs in the sixth inning when the Tigers got their first hit in a 14-2 drubbing by the Streaks, Monday, April 9.
Dietrich ended up giving up just three hits while AHS bats sizzled, pounding out 14 hits.
Leading AHS at the plate were Tanner Wyse, 2-5 with two doubles; Dietrich, threerun home run; Chandler Tuckerman, single, double; Michael Walker and Tyson Schnitkey, two hits each. AHS 10, Delta 7
Schnitkey picked up a win over the Panthers, Thursday, April 12, at Delta.
The Streaks crossed the plate twice in the opening inning and added two more in the top of the third and fourth innings.
The Panthers scored twice in the second and once in the fourth, but trailed 6-3. Delta added a run in the sixth to close the gap to 6-4.
AHS crossed the plate four times in the seventh for a 10-4 advantage. Delta’s rally fell short as the Panthers scored three times in the bottom of the seventh for the 10-7 final.
Tuckerman went 2-2 with one run batted in. Zach Driver was 2-4 with a double and two RBIs, and Jase Grosjean went 2-4 with two stolen bases.
