Columbus Africentric (22- 6), who defeated Archbold in the girls basketball regional finals, finished as state runners up in Division III for 2012-13.
The Nubians were defeated by Anna 67-49, Saturday, March 16, in the championship game.
It was a rematch of the 2012 D-III final, when Africentric won 70-66 in overtime.
The win marks the second state title for Anna (26-4) in the past three years and third overall (2013, 2011, 1981).
It was the fifth trip to the state tournament for Africentric, which won state titles in 2012, 2009, and 2007, and was the runner-up in 2008.
Africentric defeated Beverly Fort Frye 43-40 and Anna beat Orrville 80-59 in the semifinals to advance to the finals.
Fort Laramie (27-3) won the Div. IV title, beating Berlin Hiland 57-49 in the finals.
It is the first state title for the Redskins in seven state appearances. They made it to the state tournament three of the past four years and brought home runner-up trophies in 2011 and 1997.
Berlin Hiland (26-4) defeated Reedsville Eastern 54-51 in the semifinals. Fort Laramie defeated previously undefeated top-ranked Ottoville 49-42 in overtime in their semifinal.
Berlin Hiland finished as state runner-up for the fourth time in the last five years. It was the 13th time Hiland made it to state. They won in 2008, 2006, 2005, and 2000, and were runners-up in 2012, 2010, 2009, and 1989.
For the third straight year, the Div. I final featured Kettering Fairmont and Twinsburg, but this year the rivalry had a different ending as Fairmont (27-1) unseated the two-time defending state champions 52-48.
Fairmont beat Notre Dame Academy 37-31 in their semifinal, while Twinsburg defeated Lewis Center Olentangy Orange 73-63 in their semifinal.
Twinsburg (29-1) takes home the runner-up trophy for the first time.
Shaker Heights Hathaway Brown won the Div. II championship for the fifth straight year, beating Millersburg West Holmes 56-44 for the championship.
The streak marks the only time in Ohio High School Athletic Association history, boys or girls, that a team has won five straight titles.
The Blazers (23-6) have played in every championship game since 2007, finishing as runners-up in 2007 and 2008 before beginning their championship run.
In the semifinals, Shaker Heights beat Clyde 57-38 and West Holmes (28-2) defeated Dayton Chaminade Julienne 69-44.
West Holmes finished as state runner-up for the second straight year and third time in school history. The Knights have now played in the state tourney seven times, with five championship game appearances.
Attendance for the eightsession, three-day tournament was 41,633, the highest since 2007.
