The Archbold Acme baseball team fell to Bryan 12-5, Monday, June 28.

The Streaks scored all five of their runs in the third inning, leading 5-1 going into the bottom of the inning.

But the Golden Bears tied the score with four runs in the bottom of the inning, scored six in the fourth and one in the seventh.

Zane Behnfeldt suffered the loss on the mound.

Gavin Bailey had three hits for Archbold, while Brayton Hobbs had two.

Archbold 15, Delta 2

The Streaks scored four runs in the sixth to turn an 11-2 lead into a 15-2 win at Delta in six innings, Tuesday, June 29.

Masen Towns got the win on the mound and threw eight strikeouts.

Krayton Kern, Brian Burrows, and Ashton Kammeyer each had three hits as the Streaks pounded out 19 hits.

Sectional Tournament

Archbold 13, Patrick Henry 2

Archbold opened sectional tournament play with a 13-2 win in five innings over Patrick Henry, Thursday, July 1, at Ayersville.

The Streaks exploded for 11 runs in the second and third innings on their way to the first-round win.

Towns was the winning pitcher, and threw three strikeouts.

Jaybe Burkle had four of Archbold’s 16 hits, while Jayden Seiler and Bailey each had two.

Archbold 5, Ayersville 2

Archbold led 3-0 after one inning on its way to a 5-2 second-round win over Ayersville, Friday, July 2, at Ayersville.

Kern and Kammeyer each had two of Archbold’s 10 hits.

Behnfeldt recorded the win on the mound, throwing nine strikeouts.

Tinora 5, Archbold 4

The championship game with Tinora went 11 innings as the Rams recorded a 5-4 walk-off win in the championship game, Saturday, July 3, at Ayersville.

Burkle struck out seven in the loss.

Jack Hurst led Archbold with three of Archbold’s six hits.

The loss dropped the Streaks to the consolation bracket in the double-elimination sectional, where they played Wauseon for the runner up spot, Monday, July 5, at Napoleon.

Wauseon 22, Archbold 13

In the finals of the consolation bracket, Wauseon exploded for 10 runs in the seventh inning to come from behind from a 13-12 deficit to win 22-13.

Behnfeldt suffered the loss.

The Streaks (4-6) had 12 hits, led by Behnfeldt, with four.

The Rams and Indians advance to the district tournament, July 10-12.
