4-H News

Several members of the Ridge Kids 4-H Club were winners at the 2013 Henry County and Ohio State fairs:

Allison Bickel: Sew for Fun Best of Class; Outstanding of the Day (Ohio State Fair); third place, dairy first year showmanship; fourth place, first year outstanding livestock exhibitor.

Rebekah Eggers: Sewing and Textile Master Best of Class; Outstanding of the Day (Ohio State Fair); champion market lamb lightweight class, second place, intermediate outstanding livestock exhibitor.

Alex Hurst: reserve grand champion dairy market steer; first place dairy market steer class.

Ben Holley: You and Your Dog Honor Award.

Mackenzie Meyer: grand champion beef feeder calf; second place, outstanding livestock exhibitor.

Spencer Meyer: reserve grand champion beef feeder calf; grand champion junior heifer calf crossbreed.

Brock Ranzau: reserve champion class 4 Doe and Litter

Brodie Ranzau: Best of Breed Californian rabbit, reserve grand champion class 6 rabbit, first place, rabbit senior showmanship.

Caleb Ranzau: reserve Best of Breed Lionhead.

Kaity Schnitkey: first place, swine first year showmanship.

Austin Wiemken: first place, junior outstanding livestock exhibitor.

Rachel Wiemken: reserve champion breeding goose or gander.

Ryan Wiemken: champion layers, champion and reserve champion breeding ducks, champion breeding goose or gander, grand champion and reserve champion breed waterfowl.

Ana Woolace: fourth place, sheep intermediate showmanship.
