The Pettisville Ever-Ready 4-H Club held its seventh meeting, Tuesday, July 9.
Mindy Borer gave an update on the chicken barbecue; $1,486.08 was raised.
There are no more quality assurance classes; anyone who hasn’t taken one should call the extension office to set up an appointment.
All 4-Hers must attend at least five meetings, must have completed his project books and interview on the project, give a demonstration, and those with livestock projects must attend a quality assurance class. Anyone who doesn’t complete all the requirements will be ineligible to show at the fair.
Marilyn Rychener discussed sponsoring a trophy for each livestock animal.
Sarah Pratt made a motion to drop hay baling and try to sponsor a swine trophy. It was seconded by Samantha Norman.
The club will participate in the junior fair parade with a float.
The next meeting is the family potluck and pool party, Monday, July 21, 6 p.m. at Ruihley Park, Archbold. Everyone should bring a dish to share. Table service and drinks are provided.
A brief meeting will follow the meal. Swimming is at 7 p.m. and is paid for by the club.- Sarah Pratt, secretary/ reporter
