4-H News



The Countryside Clovers 4-H meeting was held Tuesday, May 9. Flower fundraiser gift cards were handed out. The group also raised $600 for the fundraiser; top sellers were Braden Eicher, Nyah and Maura Grime, Irelyn Hug, and Kaitlyn and Kendall Liechty. They’ll pick out presents for Christmas Cheer.

4-Hers that are taking hogs raised over $600, which was donated to the scholarship fund for Jim Trowbridge.

The next meeting, Tuesday, May 23, 7 pm, is the group’s last at St. James Lutheran Church, Elmira and pizza will be served. Members taking beef and sheep should bring 2 liters of pop.

Members will also sign up and pay for the June 17 Mud Hens game at the next meeting. 4-Hers are free; tickets are $12 for each additional person.

Upcoming date for Quality Assurance: Thursday, May 18, 5 pm, at Delta High School ag room. Tag-in day for animals is Saturday, June 3. See newsletter or website for time and registration form. – Chloe Aeschliman, reporter
