One hundred quizzers on 20 teams from 11 participating churches started the 2011 Bible Quiz season at West Clinton Mennonite Church, Sunday, Jan. 9.
It is the second-largest number of teams since the 1970s to participate in NW Ohio Bible Quiz, which includes Fulton, Williams, and Defiance counties.

Two Lockport teams, “Sad Goats” and “Fierce,” won prizes for averaging 150 and 149 points, respectively. “Sad Goats” members are Cara Foor, Hannah Groeneweg, Melissa Kinkaid and Hope Nofziger. “Fierce” members are Ryan King, Tony King, Philip Nafziger and Eliot Nofziger.
This year’s material is the stories of Joseph found in Genesis 37 and 39-50, and the book of Esther.
A complete round robin of 19 matches for each team is planned. Sunday afternoon meets are Jan. 16 at Central, Jan. 30 at Poplar Ridge and Tedrow, Feb. 13 at Lockport, Feb. 27 at Zion, and March 6 at Central.
