Members of the inaugural class in 2004 were Bill Hollingshead, John Jimenez, Larry Holland, John Fraas, Jerry Zuver, Cathy Rupp Gordon, Kim Bosco Ginn, Andy Peterson, Char Sharp, and Bill Arthur.

The second class of inductees in 2006 consisted of Jack Arthur, Jody Blose, Deb Fedderke, Chuck Forward, Tim Grieser, Art Kleck, Roger Schantz, Dale Schlatter, Steve Schnitkey, and Barb Short.

Athletes selected for the biannual Sports Hall of Fame are selected on six criteria: must be an AHS graduate or coach; must be at least 15 years beyond graduation; emphasis on letters won; leadership in their sport(s); team success; and era (i.e. 1950, 1960 etc.).

In each Hall of Fame class, the number of recipients from any one era is limited.
