Letter To The Editor

Archbold has a great thing going with the Austin-to- Archbold concert series.

Generous sponsors fund the A2A Series. Organizer Max Nofziger brings in talent from Austin, Nashville, etc.

Living in Toledo, we learned on Facebook about the Al Dressen & Friends concert at Northwest State on Oct. 26 and decided to go. The local group, Squeeze- Play, opened the unforgettable evening that far surpassed our expectations.

The quality of talent assembled on stage was amazing– Western Swing at its finest. We had so much fun and my face actually hurt from smiling for three hours straight!

This concert was on par with anything we experienced in Nashville or Branson, unless you need the blinding strobe lights of those venues.

Archbold residents should not lose this concert series– support it.

Art and music events create village/community pride.

A2A could seed a “First Friday” culture, packing the village and enabling small businesses to thrive, like in Goshen, Ind., Tecumseh, Mich., and Austin, Texas. We look forward to your 2019 events.
