Report Blocked Crossings!

The frustration of motorists trying to navigate Archbold can be seen in posts on Facebook.

While Facebook may be a great opportunity to vent anger and exasperation, it is just that: a place to vent.

Now, thanks to the Federal Railroad Administration and the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, you can take action.

Visit www.puco.ohio.gov/puco-forms/report-blocked-crossings-to-federal-railroad-administration. Fill out the information; then submit the form. You can attach a photo if you like.

The PUCO is forwarding all of these reports to the Federal Railroad Administration,  hich deals with blocked crossings.

If Archbold residents can flood the FRA with complaints, perhaps we can make someone in Washington, D.C., sit up and take notice! Stuck at the crossing? Don’t sit there and grumble– take action. Tell the FRA about how you can’t make an important appointment, or were late to pick up the kids, or how traffic was snarled all the way to West Barre Road.

There’s an old expression that says, “The squeaky wheel gets the grease.”

We need to squeak loud and often, because it’s about time we had some grease applied to this problem!
