Delmer E. Nofziger


Delmer Nofziger Delmer Nofziger Delmer E. Nofziger, age 92 years, of Archbold, passed away early Sunday morning, July 8, 2018, at Fairlawn Haven in Archbold.

He was born April 21, 1926, near Wauseon, the son of Willis and Lillie (Short) Nofziger, and married Lauretta Wyse on Nov. 28, 1953.

He served in Civilian Public Service in Colorado and Maryland and on a cattle boat during WWII.

A resident of the Archbold area most of his life, he drove truck for the former Lugbill Bros. and Dinner Bell Foods for many years, and during his retirement worked at Sauder Village.

He was a member of Pine Grove Mennonite Church near Stryker.

He is survived by his wife, Lauretta; three children, Ann (Jon) Lee of Napoleon, Jon (Charlotte Siemens) Nofziger of Abbots Ford, British Columbia, and Joy (Rick) Kauzlick of Archbold; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald (Ann) Nofziger of Cincinnati and Keith (Marlene) Nofziger of Florida; two sisters, Shelba Nofziger of Archbold, and Linda (Mick) Belcher of Coldwater, Mich.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a great-granddaughter; one brother, Marvin Nofziger; two sisters, Gayle Jolene Leichty and Connie Frey.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Fairlawn Chapel with Chaplain Dale Kern and Pastors Gary Stuckey and Sandy Stuckey officiating. Interment will precede in the Pettisville Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Fairlawn Chapel from 2-8 p.m., today, Wednesday.

Short Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with the arrangements.
