Cruising Garage Sales

Garage sale season is underway, and the North Pointe Estates garage sales are always a popular stop. This year, the two-day event was held Thursday and Friday, June 7-8. Top: Karen Wyse, Pettisville, and her granddaughter Reese Gray, 7, Holland, make their way to the next sale on Thursday morning. The streets were lined with parked cars, while other shoppers snaked their way through. Middle left: Kim Moore, Archbold, left and her granddaughter, Morgan Anderson, Wauseon, were doing some shopping. The two were looking for girls stuff; they’d already found cute shoes. Middle right: Avery Aeschliman, 3, gets a bird’s-eye view of the offerings from the shoulders of her mother, Jesse, Archbold. Bottom right: These youngsters set up a bake sale to benefit the book bag program at Archbold Middle School. Front row, from left: Willa Smith, 2; Grace Graber, 6, and Archer Bentley, 3. Back row: Anderson Bentley, 8, and Adelle Bentley, 6. All are from Archbold. The program provides book bags to Archbold elementary and middle school students who receive free or reduced-price lunches. They are filled with single-serving food items to help fight hunger among children who often face a weekend with little-to-no food in the house.– photos by David Pugh
