Deal With Noise Complaint

After receiving a complaint about a loud vehicle about 12:10 am, Sunday, May 6, Archbold police worked out a deal with the driver.

An officer was contacted by a woman who complained a pizza delivery vehicle had been driving past her house with a loud exhaust. The noise was keeping her children awake.

She said the vehicle was light-colored, and had a standard-shift transmission.

The officer located the vehicle and spoke with the driver, who explained the muffler had recently fallen off. The driver apologized for the noise, and explained it would be fixed the following day.

The officer wrote in his report that he told the driver “to have another driver deliver through town, and to keep his foot out of the gas and keep the noise down for the residents.”

The case is marked closed.
